Trent

I'm currently the Artistic Director for a TCG in the works called "Console Wars" (a tongue-in-cheek trading card game about video game development) Its been fun and nerve-wracking practicing my hand at illustration again but I think I more or less have a style nailed down that I'm satisfied with. Trent is one of three "legendary employee" characters who each embody a certain contribution to video game production. The direction I had from the creator is that Trent is all about art. I decided to give Trent a bit of a back-story of my own: Trent is an art and 90s-pop-culture enthusiast who self-awareingly sells out his skills to crass consumeristic games as some kind of ironic joke that only he finds funny. He doesn't strive for acceptance from his colleagues. In fact he not-so-secretly wants to be antagonized by his peers to prove to himself that hes unique and special. Meanwhile, hes seen as a loser in his own social circle. Also his shirt is a total steal from Rocko's Modern Life.
